Named in 1924, Chunxi Road has a history of more than a century and is known as the century-old golden shopping street. Yang Sen, then commissioner of Sichuan, proposed its construction and ordered the old government offices to be demolished for a north-south street. East-west streets followed, forming the east, west, south and north sections of Chunxi Road. Its stylish crowds distinguish it from the mixed, unremarkable pedestrian streets of other cities; calling it a street that stands out is no exaggeration. On Chunxi Road, be sure to visit IFS to see the famous climbing panda, then stop by Taikoo Li, Chengdu's fashion hub!

The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Base received the United Nations' highest environmental honour, the Global 500 award, and is one of Chengdu's ten new sights. Built to protect endangered giant pandas, this world-class breeding and research institution can be called a home for pandas. Visit the giant panda house, butterfly house, red panda house, outdoor panda habitats and panda nursery. It preserves the world's only giant panda population combining wild and captive modes, with more than 200 animals and the world's largest captive breeding population. Adorable cubs, endearing young pandas and relaxed adults make a visit memorable for every guest.

Wuhou Shrine dates to the construction of Liu Bei's Huiling Mausoleum in AD 223. It is China's only shrine jointly commemorating a ruler and his ministers, the most renowned memorial to Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei and the heroes of Shu Han, and the country's most influential museum of Three Kingdoms relics. The State Council listed it among the first nationally protected cultural heritage sites in 1961, and it was named among the first national first-class museums in 2008. Its rich collection of Shu Han artefacts, red walls, grey roof tiles and ancient cypresses offer a setting for exploring Three Kingdoms culture and remembering Zhuge Liang.

Dujiangyan is the world's oldest surviving large-scale irrigation system characterised by water diversion without a dam. Its scenic surroundings contain many historic sites, including Fulong Temple, Erwang Temple, Anlan Suspension Bridge, Yulei Pass, Lidui Park, Yulei Mountain Park and Lingyan Temple. It is a nationally protected cultural heritage site. Its three principal structures, the Fish Mouth diversion levee, Flying Sand Weir spillway and Bottle-Neck intake, together with supporting works such as Baizhang and Renzi embankments, solved the problems of automatic flow division, sediment discharge and intake control. By preventing floods, it made the western Sichuan Plain a land of abundance where water and drought could be managed.

The ancient Sanxingdui site covers 12 square kilometres and dates back 5,000 to 3,000 years. It is the largest, longest-lasting and culturally richest ancient city, state and Shu-culture site discovered in southwest China. Its finely crafted, unusually shaped bronzes, exaggerated masks, mysterious golden staff and ancient jades quietly tell of the wisdom and beliefs of the Shu people three millennia ago. Every artefact holds unanswered questions, inviting visitors to pause, reflect and imagine, and perhaps try to unravel its mysteries.

Jiuzhaigou brings together emerald lakes, cascading waterfalls, colourful forests, snowy peaks, Tibetan culture and blue ice. Its scenery is concentrated in three valleys, Shuzheng, Rize and Zechawa, which form a roughly Y-shaped layout. The scenic area has three of Jiuzhaigou's widest, highest and most impressive waterfalls: Pearl Shoal, Nuorilang and Panda Lake waterfalls. There are more than a hundred alpine lakes and dozens of springs and waterfalls of varying heights. Its most beautiful and distinctive feature is the water, clear to the bottom and endlessly changing.

Founded in 1998, Shufeng Yayun is a large, multifunctional theatre venue in Sichuan bringing together traditional Chinese performance, folk skills and opera and theatre supplies. It offers a window into Sichuan folk culture, opera and folk arts. In September 2023, it was included in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Industry Development Department list of 40 outstanding tourism performance projects nationwide.
Shufeng Yayun is located within the Qingyang Palace historic architectural complex on Qintai Old Path in Chengdu, Sichuan. It adjoins Qingyang Palace and forms a cultural connection with Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Wuhou Shrine. It is currently Sichuan's only folk theatre venue with such a deep-rooted heritage.
Its distinctive theatrical programme features authentic Sichuan opera skills including face changing, fire breathing, rolling lamps, shadow puppetry and rod puppets.
